This course is designed for tutors/assessors to ensure they have a wider understanding of the importance of their role and the implications their delivery has for the organisation – not only through retention and achievement of learners, but success in employer engagement, inspection and recognition through external quality measures.
- It is vital that assessors, tutors and verifiers understand the need to deliver provision that effectively meets the needs of employers and learners
- Performance measurement when used correctly can directly impact on the quality of provision
- Quality provision that takes a holistic view of employer and employee need, will further success in areas such as inspection, Framework for Excellence and TQS.
Aims and objectives
This event aims to give assessors a wider understanding of the impact and responsibility their successful delivery can have, not only for the learner and the employer, but also the success of their organisation’s employer responsive provision.

- Develop a better understanding of effective practice with regards to the planning and delivery of learning provision for employers
- Look at the key issues associated with employer engagement
- Investigate key approaches to improving the quality of planning and delivery of learning
- Look at initial and diagnostic assessment
- Approaches to measurement of performance to enable continuous improvement

Teaching and learning staff that are planning and/or delivering, or intend to deliver provision for employers i.e. tutors or NVQ assessors or verifiers.

Delegates to be asked to bring along exemplars of good practice with regards to monitoring learner progress that they are happy to share with the group.
